Cat House
The painting was completed in 2023 and is made on watercolor paper with mixtures of microcellulose and acrylic paints. The painting measures 56 x 76 cm and is behind glass in a display frame.
The spark for this painting was to create a peculiar house inhabited by cats. Sometimes in newspapers you read about how someone has let cats multiply endlessly and the house is full of cats. There are no people visible in the painting's house. I photographed my son's cat, but it was difficult. The cat didn't understand the modeling job and had to be bribed to climb so I could take a photo. Green tea has green tea leaves. I got the idea from that that they could bring the tree to life. I glued tea leaves to the trees in the painting.
