Clouds, flowers, and the shimmering sea
The painting was completed in 2023 and is made on watercolor paper with mixtures of microcellulose and acrylic paints. The painting measures 56 x 76 cm and is behind glass in a display frame.
The spark for this painting was to use colorful mushrooms and iridescent nanocellulose films in the painting. I got the idea for the sea from a painting I saw at Ateneum. The sea has iridescent blue nanocellulose films. When I made the painting, the sun was shining in from outside and the sea shimmered golden-brown and blue. The flowers in the foreground are chanterelle mushrooms colored with nanocellulose. The same in the sky. The yellow area has yellow nanocellulose films.
